Garden of the Gods is a free, publicly owned park featuring dramatic red sandstone formations against the backdrop of Pikes Peak. The park offers paved trails suitable for strollers and wheelchairs, as well as more challenging unpaved paths. The Visitor & Nature Center provides free exhibits about the park's geology and ecology. Sunrise and sunset are especially spectacular, with the rocks glowing amber and crimson. The park is a National Natural Landmark and one of Colorado's most visited attractions.
